How to choose the right size of boxing gloves? Glove size is measured in ounces (oz). For bag and pad work we recommend 10–12 oz, for sparring 14–16 oz for greater protection. Kids boxing gloves start at 4–6 oz. As a general rule: the bigger the glove, the more padding and safety it provides.
